DC Law Firms Shrink Space

Washington, D.C.

2014 was the year of law firms moving into smaller spaces. (With that, we hope it was a good year for personal hygiene.) Many of the spaces remain empty, the Washington Post reports. Pillsbury already vacated 240k SF in West End for just 95k SF of prime office space at 1200 17th St W (their old offices remain vacant), Covington & Burling also moved to a slightly smaller space at City Center after leaving their 420k SF office just three blocks west.

Here are five more firms that have moved or are moving soon:

  • Sullivan & Cromwell
  • Sheppard Mullin
  • Nixon Peabody
  • Norton Rose Fulbright
  • Arnold & Porter
