Jorge Pérez's Related Group and Barry Sternlicht’s SH Hotels & Resorts will be working together on a project for the first time with a Baccarat-branded residential project in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood.

Baccarat makes crystal and has been in existence since 1764. A Baccarat Hotel & Residences at 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue in New York opened in 2015 with condominiums, a luxury hotel and a public library. That was developed by New York-based Tribeca Associates with investment from Sternlicht’s Starwood Capital Group and SH Hotels & Resorts.

Promotional materials say the Baccarat Residences Brickell will be a 75-story tower with 360 units, including penthouses and riverfront villas. The design aesthetic will “fuse 18th-century Paris and 21st-century Miami, with a 1930s Art Deco influence.” Handcrafted Baccarat crystals will grace “nearly every surface,” and signature pops of red are meant to create sumptuous environments. Completion is expected in 2024.

Private elevators will open directly into residences, which have been designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, outdoor terraces and views of the Miami River, Biscayne Bay and the city skyline. Units will run from 1,330 to 7K-plus SF.

Amenities include a wellness center with a hammam spa, steam room, sauna, and yoga and meditation spaces; a clubroom with billiards; a private screening room; a game room; a wine cellar with tasting room; a private dining room with chef’s kitchen; multiple pools and private cabanas; an interactive water playground; and a marina with private water taxi service via a “house yacht.”

The joint venture plans a full-service salon and barber shop, a pet spa and a signature riverfront restaurant, and residents can have a beach club membership at the Starwood-operated 1 Hotel South Beach.

Pérez said in a statement that his company strives to outdo itself when it comes to amenities.
