The Ballard Target will open in 2019.

Target will open three small-format stores in the greater Seattle area over the next two years. Stores will open in the U-District and Ballard in 2019 and in Bellevue in 2020. The stores’ formats will be similar to that of the Target at Pike’s Place Market.

The Ballard store, at 1448 Market St., is 26,900 SF. It is part of the 15th + Market development. This store will employ 50 people. Target is leasing the space from Martin Selig Real Estate.

“We are very pleased to announce that Target will be involved at 15th + Market,” Martin Selig Real Estate owner Martin Selig said in a statement. “The building is now 80% full, with only the third floor still available.”

The 21K SF U-District Target at 4535 University Way NE is near the University of Washington campus. It will employ 50 people. The company is leasing the space from Panos Properties.

The Bellevue location is leased from KG Management and is 49K SF. It is in a mixed-use development near the intersection of 116th Avenue NE and NE Fourth Street. The store will employ 125 people.
