ThredUp, an online thrift and consignment store, has moved into Walnut Creek. Its new store at 1450 Mount Diablo Blvd., once occupied by H&M, is the retailer’s second physical location, the East Bay Times reports.

ThredUp also has a store in San Marcos, Texas, which opened in June. The retailer also has plans to open at Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton.

Online retailers have been opening physical locations to increase sales and better connect with their customers. Amazon plans to open a 6,469 SF brick-and-mortar bookstore in Walnut Creek and another store in San Jose's Santana Row

Customers have long requested physical stores to allow them to touch and feel the products, according to ThredUp head of retail Heather Craig. The Pleasanton store is expected to open at the end of September. Another location in Austin, Texas, will open in two weeks.
