Data storage company Pure Storage will take over a 333K SF office lease in Santa Clara, expanding and relocating its headquarters as the worldwide population's demand for data grows and employee demands change.

Pure Storage will relocate from its 250K SF Mountain View headquarters, putting the space up for sublease after completing its move, which is expected in 2023, according to reporting by The Mercury News.

The company noted during its Q4 earnings call earlier this year its strong revenue growth and performance, along with an uptick in employee growth. It is consolidating from its previous location into a larger space amid increased hiring.

Pure Storage will sublease two buildings at 2555 and 2565 Augustine Drive in Santa Clara as part of the agreement. JLL’s Steve Clark, Bart Lammersen and Joe Long represented Pure Storage. Pure Storage subleased the space from Analog Devices.

Analog listed the spaces for sublease in April following staff layoffs, as reported by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Cushman & Wakefield’s Todd Beatty, Steve Horton, Kelly Yoder and Carrick Young represented Analog Devices in the transaction.

The list of Bay Area companies downsizing into smaller offices or losing them altogether continues to grow. Genetic testing company 23andMe is moving out of 155K SF in Sunnyvale to a smaller location in South San Francisco. TaskRabbit ditched its office spaces nationwide, including its space in San Francisco, amid plans to go fully remote.
