A building permit has been issued for the newest Facebook building at 300 Constitution Dr (Building 23) in Menlo Park. It's a big reno of an existing building at the west end of the former Tyco property acquired by Facebook last year. The new look will include a raised roof and open floor plan designed by Frank Gehry. At 180k SF, it'll debut in 2016. The Planning Commission also had an EIR scoping session for Facebook's giant campus expansion. The project proposes 963k SF of new office development and a potential 200-room hotel on the remainder of the former Tyco/TE property at 300-309 Constitution Dr, reports The Registry. [TR]
