Amazon Delivery Just Got A Little More Reliable

Placeholder

Amazon Lockers were recently installed at Plaid Pantry locations throughout Portland. The new service will allow Amazon customers to pick up their packages from secure lockers instead of leaving valuable packages lying on doorsteps as bait for small-time thieves. Packages can be returned to Amazon via these lockers as well, The Oregonian reports. Package lockers are making their way into retail and multifamily locations as an added amenity.

The idea of Amazon Lockers was first conceived five years ago, when Amazon was tired of struggling with failed package delivery. The lockers are available at no additional cost and provide users with a window of three business days to pick up their packages. A code allowing customers to access the lockers containing their orders is emailed. [TO]
