Youth Orchestra!

Friday we went to the Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA) Gala at the OAS to celebrate connections made through its Global Leaders Program. We snapped former Mexican Ambassador Arturo Sarukhn, his wife Veronica, and Dani Levines.

Some of YOAs finest musicians shared stories how music has transformed their lives. Guests were treated to a performance by Venezuelan-American pianist Gabriela Montero, known for her improvisation of complex musical pieces with themes suggested by her audience. We snapped her (right) with YOA chair Hilda Ochoa-Brillembourg and BJ Consultings Pedro Burelli.

Guests enjoyed Latin American-inspired cuisine and creative cocktails designed for the night. Here, Winks Paige Speyer, YOA exec director Katarina Weir, and designer Zoe Feldman.
