World Cup!

Like everyone else around the world yesterday, we were glued to TV sets as we watched Germany beat Argentina in extra time. We went to The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown for Art Soiree's World Cup Final match-watching party.

We snapped Heartland Energy Partners' Gary Lipsky, BMW of Fairfax's Andres Irazabal, Stone Tile Liquidators' Gokhan Tatari, and PDRI's Nick Ward; their loyalties were split between the two contenders.

Guests snacked on French fries and calamari as they cheered for their teams. Here, Walter Reed's Andrea Ronan and Children's National's Megan Barna.

The crowd went wild at every great move with confetti flying. Here, National Council's Susie Morrison, Skyline Innovation's Arik Seiler, and WMATA's Salina Duggan.

RBC's Elisabeth Herold and Emily Ferry rooted for Germany and, though outnumbered in this crowd, were VERY happy after the 113th minute.
