Woodley House Benefit!

Last night, we headed to the Uptown Theater in Cleveland Park for the 21st annual Woodley House Movie Benefit, which screened "Downsizing" starring Matt Damon.

Woodley House offers a range of affordable housing for those who need crisis care, to group homes and shared apartments. Here, supporters Wendy Gray and Ellen Kay with "PBS NewsHour"'s and the evening's emcee, Margaret Warner and Steve Pearlstein.

Besides the film screening, the annual benefit provides critical funds for programs at Woodley House and helps raise awareness of the vital role the local community plays in supporting a vulnerable and often forgotten population. Here, local philanthropist Debra Kraft with Woodley House board member and the evening's honoree, Isabel Jasinowski. Isabel was presented with the Donald A. Brown Rose Award for her tireless efforts over the years to support Woodley House and advocate for those struggling with mental health issues.
