Last night we went to the Reagan Building for A Celebration of Women Chefs Gala, the ninth annual Turn Up the Heat.

It benefited the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. We snapped Ovarian cancer survivors and inspirations to all: Park Tavern chef Marli Holland, Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller, and Mrs. Maryland Zereana Jess-Huff.

Over 400 guests got to mingle with nearly 50 women chefs, restaurant owners, and mixologists who showcased their talents, such as Willow's Julie Moonts, Kate Jansen and Tracy O'Grady, and Ris' Beverly Bates.

OCNA exec director Calaneet Balas is bookended by Martha Volner and her husband Venable's Ian Volner.

Turn Up the Heat is an important fundraiser for OCNA's vital work on behalf of ovarian cancer survivors. Here, Ris owner and chef Ris Lacoste is bookended by the Reagan Building’s Melanie Soley and Westin's Peter Yeung.

There were silent and live auctions. Here, Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman's Amy Boland, Sydney Marrs, and former OCNA prez Terri McKnight.
