Wine & Words!

TRC improves the daily lives of children and their families with literacy-rich environments to motivate reading. We snapped exec director Courtney Kissell and board member Jim Whitman with NBC4 news anchor and the evening’s emcee Doreen Gentzler.

Proceeds benefit TRC’s literacy programs and will provide new books to children throughout DC and NoVA. Here, TRC founders Allen, Beth, Tim, and Martha Reese surround education specialist Eileen Hanning.

TRC’s annual fundraiser celebrates its achievements while collaborating with area restaurants and caterers. While guests participated in the mobile silent auction, they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres like Eventide’s seared ahi tuna lettuce wraps, Catering by LT’s fig and ricotta crostinis, and Food by Flik’s buffalo sliders. Here, US Senate’s Kate Summers, Hogan Lovells’ Logan Breed and his wife Mary, and Cambridge Pediatrics’ Margaret Summers.

Guests also sipped on cocktails from Sixth Engine and a variety of brews from Lost Rhino and Mad Fox. Here, Acumen Solutions’ Randy Fulk, Jessica Bielecki, and Hampton and Nina Crimm.
