We will have lots of pictures over the next few days from parties around the White House Correspondents Dinner, but we’ll start with the annual Garden Brunch originated by Tammy Haddad and co-hosted by Mark and Sally Ein, who held it in their Georgetown home. We snapped them (right) with BET CEO Debra Lee.

We spotted lots of Hollywood stars (Oscar winners Diane Lane and Lupita Nyong’o, Scandal’s Tony Goldwyn, Dallas’ Patrick Duffy, and the entire cast of Veep) but we snapped our local stars: the White House’s Valerie Jarrett, Martha’s Table CEO Patty Stonesipher, and UN Foundation CEO Cathy Calvin.

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti and (left) his deputy chief of staff Rick Jacobs are with Michigan politico Debbie Dingell, White House social secretary Jeremy Bernard, and PEN/Faulkner’s Willee Lewis. The brunch honored Dog Tag Bakery (which served delish cupcakes, helping veterans who want to be entrepreneurs), the military, and Blue Star Families.

Co-host Revolution’s Steve Case and super chef Jose Andres. Guests enjoyed crab cakes, BLTs, jalapeno hash brown balls, and smoothies.
