Wenger Awards!

Last night we also went to the Wenger Awards Dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building Atrium to support the accomplishments of leaders in cardiovascular health. It’s named for Emory School of Medicine’s Dr. Nanette Kass Wenger, a pioneer in women's cardiovascular disease. We snapped her bookended by Aledo Consuting’s Robert McDonald and Award winner for Excellence in Medical Leadership, St. Vincent Heart Center’s Dr. Mary Norine Walsh.

WomenHeart, The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, celebrated 15 years of advancing women’s heart health and providing support to the 42 million women living with or at risk for heart disease. Burlington got the Wenger Award for Corporate Excellence for educating its millions of customers about the importance of taking care of their heart health. Here, its reps Heather Umen, Kristin Mongello, Bart Sichel, and Edward Heller.

Excellence in Public Policy award-winner US Rep Rosa DeLauro, the ranking member of the Labor and Health Appropriations Subcommittee, where she’s been an ardent supporter of women's health for her 24 years in Congress.
