Washington Business Hall of Fame!

Last night, we joined over 1,000 for the Washington Business Hall of Fame at the National Building Museum to honor outstanding achievement in the greater DC community.

The annual induction ceremony honors outstanding business leaders, culminating in inducting the laureates into the Washington Business Hall of Fame. We snapped two: NEA’s Peter Barris and EY’s Debbie Kissire here, with Debbie’s family Jim and Rick Kissire, Kathie Williams, and Children's National Board chair Mike Williams.

Congrats to Peter Barris, who’s not only an honoree, but who’s planning a summer wedding for his daughter. Here, his wife Adrienne is surrounded by their daughters Diana and Pamela and his NEA colleague Katherine Stewart.

Washington Post president Steve Hills, Deloitte managing partner Gary Tabach, and E&Y’s Kevin Virostek and Scott Halliday. Over 25 years ago, The Greater Washington Board of Trade, Junior Achievement, and Washingtonian began this event to recognize leaders who spend their careers keeping DC a place where business thrives and paving the road for future generations.

Strelmark's Hilary Fordwich is bookended by Academi’s James Hickey and Constellis Group’s Chris Sorenson. The $1.1 million raised from the awards ceremony benefits Junior Achievement's efforts to empower young people to achieve economic success.

Morgan Franklin CEO C.E. Andrews and serial entrepreneur and Hillcrest Labs CEO Dan Simpkins.

Former AOL star Richard Hanlon, his wife Pamela and BOWA’s Josh Baker.

Chevy Chase Trust’s Larry Fisher, JA Board member and Ridgewells’ Susan Lacz, who hosted the Leadership Lounge after-party, CBRE’s Brad Flickinger and JA’s Amy Marcenaro.

WilmerHale’s Stephanie Evans, DrFirst’s David Samuels and PwC’s Ellen Mundell.

Northern Trust’s Paul Veith, TriBridge Partners’ John Morris, RBC Wealth Management’s Geoff Cleveland and Bond Beebe’s Geoff Brown.

The E&Y crew: Susan Heil, Mary Anne Virostek and Patti Yoder.

Liz Ovits contributed to this issue.
