Wags N' Whiskers!

We went to The Village at Shirlington for Wags N’ Whiskers, a community-oriented event for animal loving shoppers. 60 exhibitors filled the streets, offering items ranging from pet services and accessories to on-site adoptions. We snapped The Ambit Group’s Patrick Conroy, eGlobalTech’s Katie Carter, and Grand Circle Travel’s Amanda Marckini and Ben Carter.

There was also pet photography and paintings, music, and kids' activities, such as face painting and balloon art. Here, The Navy’s Jeremiah Allen, NOAA’s Hilary Goodwin, T&T Fitness’ Chris Godesky, and his wife, Lowe Enterprises’ Liz with their Border Collie Flat-Coated Retrievers, which they say are the next designer dogs.

Dog tags and scarves were very popular, as were prizes. Café Pizzaiolo’s Paint your Pet on a Pizza Box contest gave the winner a mini dog pizza. Here, FAA’s Vi Pando, Ex-Im Bank’s Cheryl Comlin, Whole Dogz’s Mary Kenkel and NHH’s Julie Niemela.

Sit Means Sit Dog Training’s Sabrina and Samone Puffenbarger and Alice Moy walked therapy dogs.

Alfredo Flores & Casie Kiel contributed to this issue.
