Last night we celebrated Vital Voices' 13th annual Global Leadership Awards at the Kennedy Center.

Vital Voices sees what’s possible when women’s voices are heard and valued. We snapped fashion legend Diane Von Furstenberg flanked by Vital Voices CEO Alyse Nelson and Board chair Susan Ann Davis.

The Global Leadership Awards recognize the impact of women’s transformational leadership by spotlighting courageous women leaders in pursuit of a better world. Here, Vital Voices co-founder Hillary Clinton presented the Global Trailblazer Award.

Rana Zaitouneh accepted the award for her sister Razan Zaitouneh, who was kidnapped in Syria last December for her civil activist work. She’s flanked by writer Salma Ali and Middle East Institute’s Nada Zeitouneh and Farha Barazi.

We celebrated at the post ceremony reception with 2,500 supporters. Here, NDPI Foundation’s Eniola Mafe, Bank of America’s Julie Harris, Vital Voices’ Zoe Dean Smith, Georgetown’s Lisa Thompson, and Bank of America’s Katy Knox.
