CulturalDC launched its 2016 VisionDC Arts and Urban Innovation Summit. This citywide summit, to be held Oct. 17 at Arena Stage, will provide a crucial platform for artists, commercial real estate developers, city planners, policymakers, technologists, business leaders and the public to exchange ideas, identify challenges and create strategies for embracing urban growth through the expansion of the creative economy. It was hosted by UBS's Gordon Dale and Washington Fine Properties' Connie Carter; she's here with DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities chair Kay Kendall, Hemphill Fine Arts' George Hemphill, and Cultural DC interim executive director Tanya Hilton.
