Saturday we went to DC’s launch of Vinofest Music & Wine Festival at Union Market for tastings, music, and food vendors; the message was love the wines you’re with.
Wine lovers got official wine passports stamped as they tasted 12 boutique varietials, such as El Ganador Malbec, Flowers Demi-Sec, and Tangled Tree Sauvignon Blanc. We snapped Turner Construction’s Samson Debela, Boeing’s Mychal Kamara, and Silk Share’s Elliott Curtis.
Hosted by VinoLovers, a DC-based wine subscription startup, Vinofest gathered food, drink, and music for a block party-style fest. Here, Equity Eats’ Andrew Harris, Steve Lucas, Johann Moonesinghe, and Raj Moonesinghe.
Nine bands from as far as Australia performed all day and culminated with DC Go Go music. We snapped See-I, a local reggae band with a Wednesday night residency at Dupont’s Eighteenth Street Lounge.
