Vieux Carre Grand Opening!

Wednesday night, we also went to the grand opening of Vieux Carre, a New Orleans-themed cocktail bar on K Street with equally delicious Cajun fare. We snapped Vieux Carre bartender Michael Francisco and beverage director Jeff Coles with MoKi Media's Dannia Hakki and creative director Seth McClelland.

Guests enjoyed two full open bars with classic New Orleans cocktails like the Hurricane, the Sazerac and the bar's namesake, a Vieux Carre. Here, The Young Invincibles' Clarissa Unger with The Advanced Energy Economy's Ray Fakhoury and DropBox's Luanda DeSousa.

In addition to the cocktails, guests enjoyed NOLA-inspired appetizers, including fried catfish skewers. Here, WeddingWire's Justine Hulbert joins Gary Clark Inc's Sherie Gabriel, Long & Foster DC's Rania Senusi and Evolent Health's Feda Elshaer.

The stylish, candlelit venue also features a mezzanine level that allows bar patrons to look down at the marble bar and first floor below, reminiscent of the historic buildings on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street. Here, ELXEL partner Asad Ali and developer Sammy Kassim surround MoKi Media's Maha Hakki.

Catholic University's Anne Giebel joins ModelB's Mohib Zubairi and Wells Fargo's Caitlin Damiani.
