VIDA Fitness 5K!

We went to VIDA Fitness' first annual 5K Run/Walk at East Potomac Park. The local fitness club chain donated $8,845 of race proceeds to Thrive DC, a local nonprofit  committed to ending homelessness in the DC area. We snapped the Thrive team, development director Daniel Meloy, Board president Nick Rosenbach and executive director Alicia Horton; with VIDA Fitness & Aura Spa’s team, social media director Elise Chretien and director of operations Aaron Moore; and head event organizer and DC running coach Mike Hamburger.

Nicknamed Hains Point by locals, East Potomac Park has a flat running course, which circles the Potomac River. Here, Red Bull DC's Tricia McLaughlin and Blair Allen.

In addition to hosting the 5K, VIDA Fitness sponsored a post-race happy hour for participants and their families at Capitol City Brewing Co downtown. Race participants could enter drawings for prizes. Here, DC Front Runners' Kei Koizumi, Jeff Dutton and Angela Messing.
