Tudor Place Garden Party!

We went to Tudor Place in Georgetown for its Bicentennial Celebration Garden Party.

We snapped Council member Jack Evans with Betsy Cooley in front of the Tudor Place Pierce-Arrow Roadster, which was owned by Armistad Peter III, the home's last private owner. Jack gave guests a DC proclamation on the Tudor Place Bicentennial.

The festively decorated clear tent with tangerine colored tables and lounges on the expansive lawn were a delight. Here, Irish Ambassador Anne Anderson joins trustee and Brown Advisory's Bruce Whelihan and his wife, Alice.

A string quartet played as guests entered the gardens, and a lively jazz band entertained those dancing under the tent. Here, investor Dennis Paul and his wife, Georgiana, with Treasury's John B. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Alex.

Historical impersonators portrayed family members and guests of the home; Gen. George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette bookend Alliance Française board member James Figetakis and Save the Children's Patricia Langan.
