Treasure Our Troops!

Last night we went to the Four Seasons for the annual Treasure Our Troops Gala hosted by Thanks USA.

The nonprofit provides need-based college, technical, and vocational school scholarships for service members’ children and spouses. The room was filled with military and political elite. We snapped Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond Odierno with the night’s emcee, ABC7’s Leon Harris.

Since its inception nine years ago, the Thanks USA scholarship program has awarded over 3,000 scholarships for nearly $10 million. Here, Italian Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero, his wife Laura Bisogniero, and Sally Thornberry.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, seated dinner, program, and after-party at the hotel. Recipients represent all military branches, including the Guard, Reserves, wounded, and the fallen, from all 50 states and DC. Here, Rev Patrick Conroy and Rep Mac Thornberry.
