The RAMMYS!

We went to the 33rd Annual RAMMY Awards Gala by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington at the Convention Center to celebrate this year's culinary industry award winners.

Congrats to Del Campo and Taco Bamba Chef Victor Albisu, who won Chef of the Year. We snapped him with RAMMY president Kathy Hollinger.

The 21 winners were decided by public votes and a panel of judges. Here, The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm's Nathan Shapiro, Beverly Morton Billand-Farmer and Chef Tarver King, who won Formal Fine Dining Restaurant, and RAMW's Rob Mumma.

RAMW's David Moran, and Fiola Mare’s Maria Trabocchi and Chef Fabio Trabocchi, who won New Restaurant of the Year. More than 2,000 enjoyed the Embassy of Argentina’s duck confit empanadas, veal loin and fennel asparagus salad, and Food from Chile’s lemon tarragon salmon and wine soaked Chilean berries.

Drinks kept flowing from DC Brau, One Eight Distilling, and 2 Birds 1 Stone, while guests hit the dance floor. Here, Trummer's on Main's Chef Austin Fausett and Stefan Trummer. Other winners included Le Diplomate for Upscale Casual Brunch and Bar Pilar for Favorite Gathering Place.
