The Global Beat!

Last night we began the festivities for this weekend’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner at the first official pre-party, The Global Beat, at the UN Foundation. We snapped Mr. President himself (of ABC’s Scandal, of course) actor Tony Goldwyn surrounded by Foreign Affairs Magazine editor Jonathan Tepperman, and Council on Foreign Relations prez Richard Haass; front, the party’s hosts, Devex CEO Raj Kumar and UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin.

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the White House Correspondents Association and press corp members and celebs are flocking to DC for the weekend; this party celebrated international journalism. Here, Edelman’s Devon Cohen and Rebecca Wardell with UN Foundation’s Erika Briceno.

Along with open bar and light hors d’oeuvres, guests enjoyed hot tunes by young female DJ, 12-year-old Beauty and the Beatz. Here, The White House’s Fran Holuba, What Do I Wear editor Joel Cas, and You Successful You’s Jana Sedlakova.
