Last night we also went to Verizon Center for opening night of the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey’s Circus: Built to Amaze. We snapped 94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly, NBC4’s Angie Goff with Adora and friend, and FOX5’s Holly Morris with Hayden, who was very excited to see the elephants; Tommy admitted he was excited, too.

The show, which has everything from dancing tigers to high-flying acrobats, and will ultimately travel to Mexico, is only in DC this weekend.
Voice of Russia’s Kate Zickel, who interviewed Alex and Irena Emelin, tells us the performers’ stories are as fascinating as the show: the Russian couple are both from circus families, a tradition they may pass on to their children, ages 4 and 14, who they brought on tour to see the world.
