We went to the The Alley DC Pop Up Shop and Exhibition VIP opening party at The Colonel, celebrating the history of counterculture in Blagden Alley and Naylor Court. We snapped I-Banker Tony Amer, Mens Style Point's Kevin Gray, entrepreneur Alison Beshai and Thesophistocrats.com's Darcy Jones.
The Alley took place in the The Colonel building in Shaw, which will soon house All Purpose, a restaurant from the owners of Red Hen and Boundary Stone, and Tiffany MacIsaac's Buttercream Bakeshop. Here, the team that developed and constructed it: Compass' Patrick Cooper and Donohoe's Timothy Loftus.
All participating artists, including Anthony Smallwood, Kelly Towles and Billy Colbert, worked or produced work in Blagden Alley; guests could purchase custom designed objects, T-shirts and prints.
