Team LOL!

We went to Cocktails for a Cure at Evo Bistro in McLean to cheer for progress made in blood cancer research and raise funds for the cure in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We snapped Sarah Kearney, Paige McKenzie, and Children's National Medical Center's board member Beth Singer.

Team LOL's 135 teammates joined forces to train for the GW Parkway Classic 10-miler with LLS's Team In Training program while fundraising for the mission. In its third year running, the team aims to surpass $1M for LLS. Here, Team LOL captain Lynne O'Brien flanked by AIG's Anjali Gupta, Ashley Dabbiere, Devereux Socas and Keller Williams' Chris Fraley.

Cocktails for a Cure contributed to Team LOL's momentous goal as guests toasted at the bar, dined, and bid on the silent auction. Funds will help find cures for blood cancers and ensure access to treatments through research, patient services and advocacy. Here, LLS's National Capital Area executive director, Beth Gorman, bookended by Wendy Culp and The Potomac School board member Patty Coleman.

Silent auction winners took home items such as Wizards floor seats, 20 classes at The Bar Method, and dinner for six at Kinship. Here, Bobbi Smith, aXseum Solutions CEO Michael Perez, Washington Fine Properties' Gary Dopslaff, and Nancy McNerney.

Alfredo Flores & Liz Ovits contributed to this issue.
