Last night, we headed to Take Care in Georgetown for their unofficial unveiling and media preview party! We snapped Take Care co-founders Becky and Trevor Waddell with their daughter Lily.

Guests enjoyed an exclusive reception showcasing the brand-new store, which is D.C.'s first independently owned, all-natural beauty and wellness boutique. Here, lavender farmer Maya Atlas joins the store manager, Taylor Ray.

The store features carefully curated, small-batch, plant-based apothecary goods, including skin care, body care, natural perfume and cosmetics, in addition to sophisticated and handmade home goods and gifts. Here, CapitallyDC writer and executive assistant Bailee Dukes and CapitallyDC Editor-in-Chief Emilia Ferrara surround plant-based blogger Chelsea Williams.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of wine and appetizers, including delicious cheesecake while exploring the new store and sampling their products. The official grand opening will be Aug. 17.
