Sweethearts & Patriots!

Saturday night we went to the annual Sweethearts and Patriots gala to benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, TAPS, at Georgetown's City Tavern Club. TAPS helps those who are grieving the loss of a loved one who served in the military. We snapped founders committee members DC Society and Sons of the American Revolution's Carl Bedell, Reid Collins and Andy Dye.

To raise funds for TAPS, an auction included Jack Rose whiskey tasting, Woodmont golf lesson, and a luxury cabin wine getaway at Rose River Farms and DuCard Vineyard; plus an online auction Charitybuzz.com/TAPS that runs through Tuesday afternoon. Here, CBP's Todd Galaida, Charity Buzz's Laura Deming, Vincent & Elkins' Lindsey Vaala, and Miles & Stockbridge's Stephen Cobb.

Patriots and a Ben Franklin impersonator mingled on the dance floor. Here, David Adamy, BB&T's Ryan Greenwood, Ashlawn's Alexandra Greenwood and Jason Newman.

Miss DC Teresa Davis is flanked by Heritage Foundation's Todd Thurman and Lindsey Burke, and Carla Fosbre. Sprinkles Cupcakes and Fluffy Thoughts Cakes provided dessert.

The multi-level gala included an orchestra, DJ dance floor and silent auction room. In the VIP lounge: Shelk Fischer Family Foundation's Stephanie Fischer, Terathink's Stephanie Curtis and USPTO's Brooke Purinton.
