Sugar & Champagne!

Last night we went to Sugar & Champagne at the Reagan Building to benefit the Washington Humane Society.

Scott Drewno, executive chef of The Source by Wolfgang Puck, served duck confit on sesame crisps with Chinese mustard and coriander pickles. Participating chefs who donated delectable treats came from Brabo, Gold Cup Wine Bar, Hanks Oyster Bar, Rappahannock River Oysters, Hello Cupcake, Dolci Gelati and many more.

Ellen Gray of Equinox, Watershed and The Muse, here with her son, Landon’s Harrison Gray, served delish roasted beet sandwiches. She and husband Chef Todd Gray were the hosts of Exclusive Experience, where he dazzled with his skill with liquid nitrogen.

Helping Hands Affordable Veterinary Surgery’s Jake Pasternak and his rescue dog Chilly come in from Richmond every year to support the cause.

Tina Haque and Alan Helfer with 14-month-old Kain. Where else, in addition to free-flowing champagne and wine, desserts and food from top restaurants, can you find plenty of dog treats?
