Sound Bites!

We went to the fifth annual Sound Bites at the Reagan Building's Wilson Plaza Sunday to benefit DC Central Kitchen. We snapped its reps (in orange shirts) Liz Reinert and Katherine Eklund with Philabundance’s Kait Bowdler and Lindsey Palmer.

Guests sampled food and drinks from 25 top DC restaurants, including Bar Pilar, Black Jack, Capital Komboucha, Founding Farmers, Hank's Oyster Bar, Indique, Jaleo, Pearl Dive, Republic, Roofers Union, and Rappahannock River Oysters. Here, Bloomery Distillery’s Tom Kiefer, DC Central Kitchen’s Rudy Wayne and The Garden Grill chef General Lewis.

There was music from up and coming artists, Gypsy tunes from DC’s Black Masala, beats from DJ Harry Hotter, and hip hop from Ingleside Collective, with members of Fugazi and Delegation Music. Here, Treasury Department’s Maria Minkarah, John Ermer, and The Hamilton pastry chef Lauren Petri.
