Last night we went to the Embassy of Italy for the Signature Theatres annual soiree, the Sondheim Award Gala.
Signature artistic director Eric Schaeffer is with legendary producer Hal Prince, who received the evening's award from its namesake Stephen Sondheim. Hal accepted his awardin front of nearly 400 people at the black-tie affair. It was the first time the award has gone to a producer.
The black-tie dinner featured performances by Tony nominees. We snapped former SACEUR General George Joulwan and his wife Karen with the US longest-serving Chief of Protocol Lucky Roosevelt and retired American U prez Joe Duffy.
Signature board member Lepercq Lynx Investment Advisoryprez Peter Tanous is flanked by his staff Kaitlyn Kellett, Lara Hines, and Vipin Sahijwani; and second from right, Laura Tester. It was Signature's most successful gala, raising over half a million dollars.
