SOME Harvest Gala!

This weekend we went to the 30th annual So Others May Eat Harvest Gala at the National Building Museum. Since 1970, S.O.M.E. has been helping the poor and homeless in the nation's capital with food, clothing and healthcare. We snapped its president, Father John Adams surrounded by Sister Mary Catherine Guiler, Sister Marie Denis Lacey and Peggy Gott.

Guests mingled during the cocktail hour while participating in the silent auction bidding on sports memorabilia, gift baskets and hotel getaways. Here, Sister Mary Mulholl, SOME's Richard Gerlach and Cam Gerlach.

We enjoyed the three-course dinner of ginger-roasted pear salad, syrah short ribs and chocolate pomegranate mirror cake, while watching the presentation of the Horace McKenna Humanitarian Awards. Here, USAF's Kate Werling, Synergy's Zachary Zimmerman and Nolan Financial's Christine Nolan.

Proceeds will go towards the Building Hope Capital Campaign's initiative to develop a facility that will include housing, job training and a medical clinic for those in need. General Dynamics' Gail and Paul Normand and Rob and Denise Roser.
