Smithsonian Craft Show!

Last night we also checked out the first night of the Smithsonian Craft Show at the National Building Museum. We snapped Fannie Mae's Karen van Breda Kolff, attorney Denise Cunningham, TLA Communication's Toni Aluisi, Amtrak's Fran Berk, and C-SPAN's Marilyn Thompson.

The Friends Night Out theme included cocktails from four of DC's top mixologists and light hors d'oeuvres. Here, DCPS' Katie Moxley, Eagle Hill Consulting's Megan Cleary, Alexandria PS' Christine Scherrer, and JHU's Claire Warren.

Widely regarded as the most prestigious juried show sale of American contemporary fine craft, the Smithsonian Craft Show will be held through this Sunday. The 120 participating artists were chosen from a pool of more than 1,100 applicants. Here, event co-chairs Sue Beddows and Amy Meadows.
