We went to Union Market for Small Business Saturday. We snapped Salt & Sundry owner Amanda McClements, who hosted a trunk show for ETSY jewelry designer Mallory Shelter, who normally sells select pieces in the store, but brought her entire line for the day.

Union Market, a collection of gourmet specialty shops and restaurants, has become hugely popular since it opened two years ago where the old Centre Market and Union Terminal Market once operated, on Fifth St NE a block off Florida Ave. Here, VOA Associates’ Zahira Crespo and Federal Reserve Board’s Marko Beljak checked out the specialty jams, candles and baking goods.
