Sips & Suppers Holiday Happy Hour!

Last night we also went to the Sips & Suppers Holiday Happy Hour at Cork Wine Bar and enjoyed wine and hors d'oeuvres with the hosts and sponsors of the wonderful January weekend. We snapped two of DC’s top chefs, Ripple and Roofers Union Executive Chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley and KAZ Sushi Bistro chef Kaz Okochi, bookending DC Central Kitchen CEO Mike Curtin.

Sips & Suppers, which will be held Jan. 24 and 25, is a two-day event that’s raised more than $1 million since its launch in 2009 to help eliminate hunger and poverty through the vital work of DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table. Here, the person who’s turned Sips & Suppers into an incredible annual celebration of food and community, cookbook author Joan Nathan, with RIS chef Ris Lacoste and Cork Wine Bar owner Diane Gross.
