Shoulder-to-Shoulder with the British!

We went to theBritish Ambassador's residence Friday for the team launch of Shoulder-to-Shoulder, which will join the Big Battlefield Bike Ride this summer for 350 milesbetweenLondon and Paris. The team, a partnership between the Embassy and US Wounded Warriors, highlights our defense relationship. We snapped the MBDA team: John Pranzatelli, with his wife Suzanne (center), Bill Rigger, with his wife Susan, and its CEO Jerry Agee.

The dinner supported three military charities. Each of the seven tables represented a stop on the tour; guests had scallops and sweet pea risotto. Here, Embassy of Britains Anne Collett, DODs Phil Burdette, Embassy social secretary Amanda Downes, and USO prez Sloan Gibson with his wife Margaret.

DC saxophonist Tedd Baker and pals played live jazz. Here, BPs Karen Hyland, MedStar National Rehabs Joan Joyce, Paralympic Sport Clubs Pamela Lehmert, and Carroll Fuels Joe Antonelli.
