After Hours Party for Beyond Beauty!

We went to the opening night After Hours party for Beyond Beauty at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, produced by Brightest Young Things and SAAM. We snapped TAA PR’s Rebecca Chin and Mia DeSimone flanking Pinstripes’ Ben Heinking.

The party celebrates Irving Penn, one of the foremost 20th century photographers, whose iconic fashion, portrait and still life images appeared in Vogue, with 146 of  his photographs. Here, Cadwalader's Colleen Kukowski, her husband, Jed Kukowski, with Wells Fargo’s Liz Jones.

There were DJ performances from Ben Browning of Cut Copy and Smudge, live music by Verite, make-up and braid bars, bocce courts and cocktails. Here, BYT co-founders Cale Charney and Svetlana Legetic with Morgan West, founder of A Creative DC, which projected the work of local photographers on screens in the Kogod Courtyard.

There was food from Daikaya, Zentan, The Riggsby, Tico, McCellan’s Retreat, Barmini, and Espita; the party was organized by SAAM & Brightest Young Things. Here, Jackie Tah, who workes in biotech, and Rimi Marwaha, who works in supply distribution.

Richelle Castillo, Travis Holler & Alfredo Flores contributed to this issue.
