Tuesday night, we headed to the brand-new InterContinental Hotel at The Wharf for an exclusive fundraiser supporting the USA Bobsled/Skeleton Foundation before they travel to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea!
We snapped Team USA Olympic bobsledder Lauren Gibbs with American Psychiatric Association Chief of Staff Yoshie Davison and Chairman and CEO Dr. Saul Levin with the event chair, Cushman & Wakefield Executive Managing Director Sherry Cushman.
The evening started with a VIP reception, which allowed supporters to mingle with the newly named Olympic bobsled and skeleton teams. Here, DarkOwl's Alison Connolly joins Team USA Olympic bobsledder Briauna Jones, DarkOwl CEO Mark Turnage and 1980 Olympian Trina Santry.
The U.S. Bobsled/Skeleton Foundation helps fundraise for the Olympians, coaches and equipment needed by the team. The evening's fundraiser focused on funding a bobsled, which costs about $400K. Here, Team USA Olympic skeleton racer Matt Antoine joins USA bobsled and skeleton high performance medical provider Andrew Ernst with Team USA Olympic skeleton racer Kendall Wesenberg and U.S. Bobsled/Skeleton Foundation board member Don Schaaf.
Here, 2014 Olympian and current Team USA Olympic bobsledder Jamie Greubel Poser joins bobsled and skeleton coach Sepp Plozza and U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton's Matthew Troy, who as the team videographer, helped coordinate the flag relay as a volunteer firefighter in Connecticut.
Following the VIP reception, guests headed to the lavish ballroom to enjoy the main program featuring two bobsleds on display, an open bar and seafood raw bar. Here, Tracy Desjardins joins her husband, StratWealth's Gary Desjardins, U.S. Bobsled/Skeleton Foundation board member James Eichelberger and Charles Schwab's Martin Bucko.
During the main program, guests were treated to an unveiling of the Under Armour-provided uniforms for the bobsled and skeleton teams that they'll be wearing in PyeongChang. Here, Team USA Olympic bobsledders Steve Langton and Chris Fogt surround USA Bobsled & Skeleton CEO Darrin Steele.
