Northern Virginia Family Service, the region's largest social services provider, celebrated its 90th anniversary at the Road to Independence Gala at the Hilton Tysons Corner, with silent and live auctions, dinner, and awards. Here, Gov. Terry McAuliffe, right, with gala chair and American Systems CEO Bill Hoover. They raised almost $700,000 to help children and families tackle hunger and homelessness, and for Head Start, foster care, gang intervention, healthcare, job training, and entrepreneurship.
