Restoring Heroes!

We went to The Hamilton's Loft Bar for Restoring Heroes Foundation's special reception honoring Kim Phuc, aka the Girl in the Photo from the iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo from the Vietnam War. We snapped her surrounded by supporter Ray Choi, Veterans Affairs director Nevin Weaver, Senate VA Chairman Col. Thomas Bowman, Dr. Jill Waibel, and her husband, Bui Huy Toan; back: Lumenis' Roy Ramati, its VP Ty Guthaus, and CEO Tzipi Ozer-Armon, with Dr. David McDaniels, supporter Carol Novak and Dr. Chad Hivnor.

Kim Phuc told her emotional story about the napalm bomb that fell on her village when she was 9 years old, almost 44 years ago. Here, Coolsculpting's Keith Sullivan, his wife, Susan Sullivan, and Cyberonics' Al Novak.

Guests enjoyed drinks and delicious appetizers such as lamb kebabs and jumbo shrimp. Here, Lumenis' women's wealth manager, Tammy Haddad, joins colleague Tom Swapp and Lumenis CEO Tzipi Ozer-Armon. Lumenis' UltraPulse laser is being used in the treatment of the type of scars presented by Kim Phuc.

Dr. Christopher Newman, his wife, Rosemary Newman, medical aesthetician Patti Hoel, Senate VA chairman Col. Tom Bowman, and VA chief of staff Paul Hutter.

Richelle Castillo & Travis Holler contributed to this issue.
