Red Cross!

Saturday we headed to the Marriott Wardman Park for the American Red Cross National Capitol Region’s A Salute to Service Gala. We snapped honoree Dr. Inge Guen, emcee, WJLA News anchor Rebecca Cooper, Light of Healing Hope Foundation’s Alexandra de Borchgrave, and Peter Guen.

CNN host and special guest Jake Tapper, his wife Jennifer Tapper, Board chair Amazon’s Teresa Carlson, and her husband, Retriever Consulting’s Chris Carlson. A silent auction included a National Geographic trip to the Galapagos; guests enjoyed a three-course meal during the awards.

Bebe Price and her husband, Dr. Kline Price, and Gala honoree Charlene Drew Jarvis and her husband, Dr. Dean Maurice Moses. The gala honors the service of committed men and women in the military and those in our community who help prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.

The VIP reception had appetizers and an open bar. Here, Rhonda Lough, her husband, Microsoft’s Steve Lough, and CEO of American Red Cross in the National Capitol Region Linda Mathes.
