Saturday morning we went to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to rally against breast cancer as fundraising teams banded together to increase their impact. We snapped teammates from Team Clark Construction: Brooke Phelps, Laura Maloney and Michael Johnsen.
Starting and ending at the National Monument, the Race toured DC's historical sites. Here, gov worker Jeff Decker, Neibaur Dental's Amy Fazar, Patrick Frost and DOD's Tracey Frost.
The race also celebrates breast cancer survivors. Originating in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure Series has grown from one race in Dallas to a global series of more than 150 Races with over 1 million participants. This year, DC racers raised $884,000.
