We went to a private cocktail reception hosted by The National Kidney Foundation serving the National Capital Area at the Renaissance Washington. We snapped ABC7 TV anchor and NKF Board member Jummy Olabanji, Equus Capital Partners’ Art Pasquarella, NKF DC Executive Director Michele Anthony, and Host Hotels’ Ed Walter.

We learned more about the launch of CKDintercept, the NKF’s groundbreaking national initiative in the fight against kidney disease. There were remarks by pediatrics specialist Bob Fildes, and NKF's Elizabeth Montgomery, who's heading the initiative, CEO Kevin Longino, and Chairman-elect Manish Agarwal.

Guests included local business leaders and members of the kidney community, such as Nephrology Associates of Mo Co’s Jeffrey Perlmutter, Ron & Joy Paul Kidney Center’s Tony Englert, and Attain’s Greg Baroni.
