Prevent Cancer!

The Prevent Cancer Foundation hosted its 6th annual 5k Walk/Run at Nationals Park to promote a healthy lifestyle. Katherine Kennedy Allen and her husband Grant Allen led the team Prevention Pioneers.

The Foundation raised $232,000 for research, education, and awareness programs on cancer detection and prevention. Team Venable, led by Brock Landry, walked in memory of their colleague, David Goewey, raising $25,000. The event’s top individual fundraiser was 12-year-old Vernon Holleman, who raised $12,000 for Team FitzGerald.
