Last Tuesday, we headed downtown to the Andrew Mellon Auditorium for America Abroad Media’s Power of Film Awards! We snapped Rep. Ted Deutch with the Ambassador of Jordan Dina Kawar, H.R.H. Princess Rym Ali of Jordan, who was one of the evening's honorees, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Yousef Al Otaiba, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Rep. Ed Royce and his wife, Marie Royce. The Princess was honored for her efforts to educate and inform audiences to help foster a deeper understanding of the complex world we live in.

The annual event brings together leaders from the policymaking, diplomatic and creative communities to honor individuals and organizations whose work in film and television exemplifies the power of media. The event also launched AAM’s Hollywood-Middle East Initiative, a new partnership with high-profile actors, producers, directors and writers. Here, Jordanian actress and producer Saba Mubarak with Arab Cinema Week's director Peri Abouzeid. Mubarak spoke at the dinner on behalf of AAM’s Middle East Advisory Council.
