Last night we also went to the Decatur House for the White House Historical Association's Piano in the White House. We snapped Janelle Gill just before she performed a musical reflection on the late Marian McPartland's 1998 White House performance; she's surrounded by Decatur House's Lina Ilekis and Christine Shepherd.
The reception following the performance included beer and wine with cheese and assorted appetizers. Here, GlaxoSmithKline's Katie Loovis is with the show’s producer Burnett Thompson, who celebrated his birthday.
The piano used in the performance is an 1883 Steinway grand, described as one of the best in DC. Here, Heurich House Museum's Rachel Jerome and Gannett's Erik Kallevig.
