On Friday evening, we headed to the Phillips Collection in Dupont Circle for the highly anticipated annual Phillips Gala, this year in honor of the museum's 95th anniversary.

We snapped Gala honoree Lynne Horning and Phillips' director Dorothy Kosinski bookending co-hosts AT&T's Kay Kapoor and her husband, Sunny Kapoor.

The gala was titled Arabesque, paid homage to the patterns of beauty in the east and west in art, and celebrated artistic exchange and cultural diplomacy between the State of Qatar and the US. Here, former HHS Secretary Michael Chertoff and his wife, Meryl Chertoff. 

Guests enjoyed a lively cocktail reception in the museum's entrance hall and tented courtyard. Here, Phillips chairman George Vradenburg and his wife, Trish Vradenburg, join Northern Trust's Mike Orfini.

Congressional honoree Rep. Suzanne Bonamici joins NPR legend Diane Rehm. The gala raised critical resources for the museum’s award-winning educational programs providing K-12 education reform, art, wellness, and lifelong learning in DC, across the country, and the world.

UMD Driskell Center director Dorit Yaron, honoree Prof. David C. Driskell, and his wife, Thelma Driskell.

Army officer Hamid Nasir joins retired general and former CIA director David Petraeus. 

Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner while browsing the museum's permanent collection. Here, Hines' Timothy Lowery joins the Embassy of Qatar's Sara Al Saadi and Fahad Alnuaimi, with the Embassy DCM Ali Saad Al-Hajri.

Ermenegildo Zenga GM Carlos Merizalde and his wife, Tatiana Merizalde, join TKTR Architects' Thomas Krähenbühl.

Vincent & Elkins' Lindsey Vaala joins Beth Clifton and her husband, The Carlyle Group's Michael Clifton.

State Dept.'s Tom Moore joins Phillips' trustee Betsy Williams and real estate developer Martin Ditto.

During the gala, guests bid on silent auction items, including a design consultation with Phillips' ambassador & interior designer Barbara Hawthorn, here with artist Jason Kampf and realtor Crystal Boyd.

Client Raiser's Danielle Glosser joins Hines' Howard Riker in the museum's courtyard. Following the gala, guests headed to Union Market's Dock 5 to dance for the remainder of the night at the Contemporaries Bash.
