We headed to The Pinch in Columbia Heights for Opera on Tap. We snapped Opera on Tap co-directors Carla Rountree and Elizabeth Mondragon, who also performed during the two-hour show.
Opera on Tap is the largest network of operatic performing artists in the country; its DC group performs twice a month in different locations. Here, Gregory Stewart sings Cruda Funesta Smania, about a sister falling in love with the son of the man who ruined her family.
Attendees were treated to a wide selection of opera and drink specials. Opera singer Tina Boosahda performs Mama Called, a loving homage to the cat lady.
